Get involved in politics? I used to think: “Never! Yuck!” Now, I think “Yes!” and do more than vote. I think how well I know the current Prime Minister and Premier and think that if I attended events where they’re at, I’d have insight into their personalities. To know what’s really going on behind those cameras – not influenced by what the newspapers say.
When you’re watching this video do you have some insight into the two candidates: Doug Ford, Jr. and Olivia Chow? This was only a portion of what went down during the debate on affordable housing. I used the video of my cell phone – not an actual video recorder.
I wonder that even though I’m listening to their answers, why should I believe what they say? Olivia Chow, though, champions the poor and I believe that if all three levels of our government keep ignoring all the problems of the poor, Toronto will one day become a ghost town.
Business people will take as much as they can get from Toronto and then when Toronto is all dried up, they’ll move to greener pastures.
It’s not over. The vote for our Mayor. I hope to see John Tory in upcoming meetings. The public were never barred from committee meetings. It shouldn’t be changing now.
When John Tory won the election, his exact words were “Do what needs to be done”. I hope he keeps his word because it pretty much means taking action against poverty, affordable housing and (of course) improvements in TTC service.
